Product Introduction:
This series of stainless steel cable glands is precision-machined from high-quality stainless steel, available in both 304 and 316 grades to suit a wide range of industrial environments, from general purpose to highly corrosive conditions. The 304 stainless steel variant offers excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion, moisture, and common chemicals, making it ideal for indoor equipment, instrument enclosures, and general industrial applications. The 316 stainless steel version, which contains molybdenum, provides superior resistance to salt water, acids, alkalis, chlorides, and other aggressive media, making it the preferred choice for marine engineering, chemical plants, food and pharmaceutical machinery, shipbuilding, and outdoor environments with high salt spray exposure. In terms of thread types, this series covers PG, M, NPT, and G threads. PG thread is the older German standard often found on European equipment; M thread is the metric ISO standard and the most widely used type; NPT thread is the American standard 60° tapered thread that seals by thread interference, suitable for North American equipment; G thread is the British standard 55° parallel pipe thread, commonly used in low-pressure piping and flameproof enclosures. For each thread type, accessories such as locking nuts, sealing washers, and grounding components are available upon request.
These cable glands offer high mechanical strength, with a metal body that resists impact and vibration. They operate reliably over a wide temperature range from -40°C to +100°C, with further extensions available for special materials. A triple-seal design is incorporated, featuring a built-in special rubber sealing gasket (options include silicone, fluorocarbon, or nitrile rubber) combined with a clamping type sealing structure to effectively prevent ingress of moisture and dust, achieving IP68 protection. The self-adjusting tapered claw securely grips cables of various outer diameters, accommodating both armoured and unarmoured cables, and provides reliable pull-out resistance. The precision threads and locking nut design prevent loosening caused by vibration during long-term operation. For electromagnetic shielding requirements, an EMC version with a grounding spring or grounding bolt can be supplied. Thanks to these outstanding features, the stainless steel cable glands are widely used in marine and port equipment, outdoor distribution boxes, LED lighting, photovoltaic systems, chemical plants, water treatment, pharmaceutical machinery, rail transit, wind power, and mining machinery. When selecting a gland, simply confirm the cable outer diameter range, the required thread type (PG, M, NPT, or G) and size, the material grade (304 or 316), and whether grounding or explosion-proof certification is needed, and you can quickly identify the most suitable product.
