Product Introduction:
The MG Split Type High-end Nylon Cable Glands are precision-engineered for demanding industrial environments where reliable cable sealing, mechanical retention, and post-installation retrofitting are critical. Manufactured from glass-fiber reinforced V0 grade PA6 nylon, these glands offer exceptional mechanical strength, creep resistance, and thermal stability across a continuous operating range of -40°C to +120°C, with intermittent tolerance up to +120°C. The split-type architecture comprises six functional components: a clamping nut (A), an elastomeric clamping gasket (B), the main threaded body (D), claw (E), a lock nut (F), The split claw assembly, molded from high-impact modified nylon, enables true post-termination installation: the gland can be fitted onto cables with pre-installed connectors or factory-terminated plugs without cutting or re-terminating wires, a critical advantage for field retrofits and prefabricated cable harnesses. When the clamping nut is torqued to the specified value (typically 2.5–15 N·m depending on size), the clamping ring is axially compressed, generating a uniform radial sealing force around the cable sheath. The sealing interface, combined with the integrated O-ring or flat gasket (B) made from NBR or EPDM rubber (selected per application requirements), ensures ingress protection meeting IEC 60529 standards: IP68 (continuous immersion beyond 1 meter) . The lock nut (A) secures the gland to enclosures with MG metric threads conforming to DIN 40430. All exposed plastic components can be customized as UV-stabilized and salt-spray resistant (tested to 500+ hours per ISO 9227), while the gland assembly is free from halogens and complies with RoHS and REACH regulations. Typical electrical and mechanical performance includes a vibration resistance of 5g (10–500 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6) and a pull-out resistance exceeding the cable’s own tensile strength when properly installed. Available MG thread sizes range from MG12 (12.0×1.5 mm) to MG63 (63.0×1.5 mm), accommodating cable diameters from 4 mm to 50 mm. For applications requiring EMI shielding or higher chemical resistance, optional variants with nickel-plated brass claws or FKM seals are available upon request.
