Product Introduction:
In electrical control cabinets, distribution boxes, machine enclosures and similar applications, corrugated conduit often needs to pass from outside the cabinet to the inside while making a 90‑degree turn at the entry point. Simply bending the conduit through a hole is not only likely to wear the tube wall but also fails to provide reliable fixing and sealing. The conduit right angle connector is designed specifically for this need to manage the transition from panel to conduit with a sharp turn.
This connector is injection‑moulded from nylon 6 or nylon 66. It offers good mechanical strength, resistance to oil, chemicals and ageing, and operates reliably in temperatures from -40°C to +110°C. The nylon material is lightweight and non‑corrosive, so it will not rust even when in long‑term contact with metal cabinets. Its smooth surface also prevents scratching or damage to the outer wall of the corrugated conduit.
The structural design of this right angle connector uses two completely different connection methods at its two ends. One end is a snap‑fit interface. Inside this end there are raised locking teeth that match the outer diameter of the corrugated conduit. To install, the conduit is pushed parallelly into the interface until an audible “click” is heard, which means it has locked securely into place-no tools are required. The other end is a threaded interface, usually designed as a standard metric thread (such as M16, M20, M25, etc.). This threaded end can be screwed directly into a pre-threaded hole in a cabinet, enclosure or equipment panel. A matching lock nut is then tightened from the inside to fix the connector rigidly to the cabinet. The two ends are arranged at a 90‑degree angle, allowing the conduit to make a clean right‑angle turn precisely at the point where it enters the cabinet. This makes the wiring layout much neater and more compact.
In practical applications, this right angle connector is very common at the cable entry points of electrical control cabinets. When the conduit comes from an external cable tray toward the cabinet, the threaded end of the connector is first passed through the cabinet wall and secured with the lock nut. Then the conduit is pushed into the snap‑fit end. As a result, the conduit turns tightly against the outside of the cabinet and enters at a right angle, avoiding loose hanging or excessive bending. Similar designs can also be seen on automation equipment, machine tools, photovoltaic inverters and the terminal boxes of household appliances such as outdoor air conditioning units. They maintain continuous protection of the cables while improving the overall appearance of the assembly.
To suit different installation environments, the threaded end of the connector is often supplied with an optional sealing gasket or O-ring. When the lock nut is tightened, a good degree of dust and water resistance is achieved, making the connector suitable for outdoor or damp locations. The snap‑fit end is available to match a range of common conduit outer diameters, for example 13 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm and 25 mm. Some models have removable locking teeth, which makes it easy to replace or inspect the internal wiring later. The standard colour is black but white, grey and other colours can be offered on request.
In summary, the conduit right angle connector-with one end snap-fit and the other end threaded-provides an elegant solution for the dual needs of rapid conduit fixing and a clean 90-degree turn exactly at the cabinet entry point. It retains all the lightweight, durable advantages of nylon material while greatly improving installation efficiency and sealing reliability through its differentiated interface design. If you are planning a corrugated conduit routing that must enter a control cabinet or equipment enclosure, this right angle connector is the ideal bridge between the conduit and the panel.
