The MG Siamesed Type high-end cable gland is a precision one-piece nylon cable fixing and sealing device designed for demanding industrial environments. Its core function is to allow cables to pass safely through equipment enclosures while providing reliable fixation and long-lasting sealing. The main body is made of high-quality nylon, which is non‑flame‑retardant as standard, but flame retardant grades can be customized to meet different fire safety requirements. A distinctive design feature is that both the cap and the nut are equipped with a flange edge. This increases the contact area, prevents the gland from digging into the enclosure surface or damaging the housing during tightening, and improves vibration resistance and installation stability. For sealing, the MG Siamese‑type cable gland uses a high‑performance flat washer (gasket) instead of an O‑ring. The gasket, typically made of NBR or EPDM rubber, tightly fits the enclosure opening when the nut is tightened, creating a reliable waterproof and dustproof barrier that achieves IP68 protection – effective even under continuous immersion.
In terms of clamping performance, the specially designed internal claw and clamping ring interlock precisely to firmly hold the cable and provide exceptional pull‑out resistance. Even on high‑vibration equipment such as generators, compressors, or heavy machinery, the gland prevents cable loosening or detachment. Meanwhile, the design allows a single gland to cover a wide range of cable diameters, reducing the need for frequent model changes due to slight cable size variations – greatly improving on‑site flexibility. The product uses metric threads, and installation is straightforward: simply insert the cable through the body and tighten the flanged nut. A distinctive “click” feedback confirms proper locking. The gland comes complete with a matching locknut and sealing washer, ready for use out of the box.
Regarding weather and chemical resistance, nylon demonstrates good resistance to weak acids, alkalis, salt spray, oils, greases, and common industrial solvents, as well as UV aging resistance. The product has passed CE, RoHS, and IP68 certifications or test report, ensuring reliable quality. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +100°C (static, with instantaneous tolerance up to 120°C) and -20°C to +80°C (dynamic, with instantaneous tolerance up to 100°C), making it suitable for environments from extreme cold outdoor installations to high‑temperature industrial furnace areas.
